Entertainment at Radio City with Christmas around the corner

Christmas is coming around the corner. One good way of spending it is hopping on your charter bus and heading over to Rockefeller Center and its Radio City Music Hall within. The Rockefeller Center is actually a complex of 19 commercial buildings situated between 48th and 51st streets in New York City. Declared as a National Historic Landmark in 1987, the Rockefeller Center is built by the Rockefeller family, and covers more than 22 acres of land in the center of Midtown Manhattan.
Rocking the famous Rockefeller Center
In Rockefeller Center lies a famous entertainment venue called Radio City Music Hall. The building was designed by Edward Durell Stone as the architect, while the Art Deco-styled interior was done by interior designer Donald Deskey. Originally intended to be named as International Music Hall, however, the term Radio City was taken from one of the complex’s first tenants, the Radio Corporation of America. Hence, Radio City Music Hall was dubbed.

Cave of the Winds

Most of the time, whenever we have visitors from overseas or from out of town, planning a visit for them is always an exciting thing to do. And for convenience and comfort, we would usually charter a New York bus to take everyone to wherever that we would like to bring them. It is always a great joy to be able to spend more time with our visitors as they have taken time to travel from afar to visit us and one of the places that we enjoy bringing them to visit is the Cave of the Winds, which is a must see spot for any first time visitors. In fact, this is a favorite spot to go whenever we have friends or relatives visiting.

Cave of the Winds is one of the signature activity at Niagara Falls State Park and while the main event at Niagara Falls is to watch the majestic and awesome torrent of Niagara falls, many people also take the opportunity to experience the exhilarating fun of exploring the Cave of the Winds. For tourists who come to the Niagara Falls in NY charter buses, they are always told to never miss out on the fun of exploring Cave of the Winds because it would surely be their once in a lifetime experience – unless they plan to return to Niagara Falls in the near future, that is. There will be quite a lot of stairs to climb when you are inside the “cave”, but you don’t have to rush through – in fact, we would suggest that you take your own sweet time and savor the experience of being in there. You will, however, we promise, get wet even with wearing a designer poncho with matching sandals (which you will get to keep at the end of the tour!) but we also promise you that it is a great activity for all ages – well, almost all ages; because if you are too young or too old, you may not be able to enjoy the excitement of this activity.

As you and your entourage put on your poncho and sandals after paying for the admission tickets, you will then go down an elevator and once you come out of it, you can then enjoy taking the views that is ahead of you. There is also a guide to help you identify the many different types of seagulls that you will encounter and as you reach the bridge, you will walk across it and right into the falls – and when you are through this experience, you can continue this awesome experience with a meal at the Top of the Falls Restaurant where you get to see the view of the Niagara Falls from every seat in the restaurant.

Famous French Influence In New York - The Cloisters

Located in Washington Heights in New York City, the Cloisters is a part of Metropolitan Museum of Art which was built and promoted back in the 1930’s. Suffice to say, there is much history and significance in every aspect of the museum building’s design. Bus Companies NY customers have always thought of visiting this charter bus rental NYC site as absolutely essential in understanding how Medieval Europe had a role to play in forming, shaping and evolving in a large, sleepless city like New York city.
Located on the northern part of Manhattan Island, there is a beautiful, well-maintained garden alongside the museum which charter bus guests can explore to their hearts’ contents. One can definitely appreciate every single little French-related exhibit there is in the museum and even for the untrained and inexperienced eyes, it is a sight to behold. It brings you back in time and some of the NY coach bus tour visitors said that they felt like turning back the hands of time. Let’s face it, we have come a long way from when there was French medieval influence in our society. The biggest modern influence from Europe that we can see today is basically, well....the cuisine.
Many visitors might not know this fact before coming to this New York city attraction - French buildings of Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa, Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert, Bonnefont-en-comminges, Trie-en-Biggore and Froville were torn down, one brick at a time, and the materials were then methodically shipped to New York to be reassembled on the grounds of Fort Tyron Park. So, this is basically a building that is French-made and have the one of the biggest historical significance in the heart of New York city. In fact, the building is listed as a historical sight under the National Register of Historic Places and that is all the more reason why we should make a charter bus NY stop here - whether we are into art, structures, architecture or not.
The stop is extremely a relaxing place to be, to spend an afternoon exploring the grounds, enjoying the atmosphere and sipping a cup of chamomile tea. The collection isn’t big but they are absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful. There is something very dreamy about the exhibits...it is almost like someone is showing you what they dreamt about. And what is truly awesome about the exhibits is that they are uncomplicated and easy to digest.
The herb garden contain various interesting and fragrant herbs on the grounds and they are proven to have medicinal and utilitarian properties. In a concrete jungle like Manhattan, the Cloisters serves as a green lung to the busy residents of New York.

Shakespeare in the Park

On select summer evenings, crowds of theater-lovers and charter bus visitors fill the Delacorte Theater and its surrounding Great Lawn in Central Park for the free Shakespeare performances by The Public Theater. Originally called the New York Shakespeare Festival, the two-month-long event now is known simply as Shakespeare in the Park. The outdoor plays have featured stars such as James Earl Jones and Al Pacino, and continue to be one of the city's most popular cultural events. Visit New York with a bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus rented from Bus Companies New York and enjoy an evening with Shakepeare in Central Park.
In 1954, Joseph Papp created his Shakespeare Festival in New York City, which became the Free Shakespeare for New Yorkers festival in 1956. In 1957, the festival brought free mobile performances to locations in all five boroughs. The Delacorte Theater in Central Park opened in 1962 as the festival's permanent venue with help from both private supporters and the city government. A year later, Papp purchased the historic Astor Place Library and founded The Public Theater, which continues to run the festival, free performances in the boroughs and its own productions. New York charter bus visitors can check with the theater’s website for performance schedules and other information.
The festival has featured all of Shakespeare's major works, including "Romeo and Juliet" and "Hamlet," and frequently stars top-tier celebrities. Occasionally other plays are presented, including classic works by Chekov, and modern works by playwrights such as Eric Bogosian have been included in the festival lineup for the entertainment of rental bus attendees.
Shakespeare in the Park runs from early June through early August and usually offers two separate performances that run for four weeks each. Free ticket distribution begins at 1 p.m. the day of the show, and many die-hard charter bus visitors are lined up by dawn for most performances.
The Shakespeare in the Park festival has been running for more than 50 years and continues to be one of the highlights of New York City's summer festival season for rental bus visitors. The company also runs a free Shakespeare workshop series available to students in any city public school and it culminates in a live performance by students at The Public Theater.
The Delacorte Theater is located on the southwest corner of the Great Lawn, which is in the middle of Central Park near 80th Street, and easily reached by charter bus. The theater is situated directly under Belvedere Castle, which is lit up by spotlights on nights of the show.
Plan a rental bus trip to New York and make a date with Shakespeare with the help of the friendly staff of Bus Companies New York. Bus Companies New York has a selection of fully equipped charter buses that will fulfil your rental bus group’s every charter bus transport need.

The perfect weekend getaway in New York City

It is winter time over here in New York City and the chilly cold seems to be bearing down on the locals. Preferring to stay indoors where they can stay warm and welcomed all day long isn’t quite the kind of idea we had in mind for the weekend? The great thing about spending a weekend in New York City is that there is never a shortage of things to do, be it the weekend or a week night. Needless to say, the best way to make the most time here in the Big Apple is to use a charter bus, coach charter, party bus or mini bus for your trip, especially if you are traveling in a large group. This way, you can get around in the city without worrying about taking public transport or getting lost along the way, which could affect the way you enjoy the rest of the day.

The weekend is the perfect time to visit a couple of museums with your family and friends. A good museum would be the Solomon R. Gugenheim Museum which is perfect even for the little ones. They might not be as introspective after their visit, but they are going to be absolutely inspired with the lessons and arts and craft workshops. Who knows, your little one might be inspired enough to be the next great artist! There is a Museum of Sex in NYC but we don’t think it is the kind of place you would want to bring your kids too.

If you are craving for more art in NYC, then bring the rented charter bus to one of the most awe-inspiring buildings/museum in the city that never sleeps called the Museum of Modern Art a.k.a. MoMA. The building got a nice facelifft in 2004 which spanned over two years. The designer who took on the amazing feat would be none other than famous Japanese architect, Yoshio Taniguchi. Thanks to the redesign, there is now double the space for all the amazing and jaw-dropping artworks from the 19th to 21st century. The displays does not merely stop at what you can find on the insides of the museum, the gardens right outside and the building itself is also works of art.

As mentioned, although the weather is chilly out there, it makes more sense to bundle the kids up in their winter wear and play in the snow. And if that does not sound like something your kids (or you) will enjoy, take the time to learn up something new, like samba or ballroom dancing, racing a go-kart or painting. Some of our charter bus rental customers love to organize group weekend trips out in New York City and mingle around and in the process, they end up making more new friends than they initially expected. NYC is awesome this way
